Chazynash & Dani Kurama Duo Marks Debut With ‘Jika Aku Pergi’ | Perlis-born ‘instafamous’ sensation, Chazynash, teams up with up-and-coming singer-songwriter, Dani Kurama, to debut their single entitled ‘Jika Aku Pergi’, fully written and composed by the duo, and published by Rocketfuel Indie Space Station.
“Most people would recognise me as the ‘fitness guy’ and also from the parody videos I’ve produced with my wife that have gone viral over the years on social media. But, singing is something that I’ve always wanted to venture into for a long time.
“In the past, I’ve created a number of parody music videos and it did garner a lot of attention, but nothing sounded ‘serious’. Until one day, I met with Dani Kurama and we decided to team up musically, and with the right tool (platform) provided by Rocketfuel Indie Space Station, we decided to give it a try,” said Chazy.
For Dani Kurama, he has been musically-inclined since high school, his passion for music has always been there, he would write his own songs, perform cover songs and even upload them on YouTube. Not all is fair, Dani received some harsh criticisms from the public for his compositions and singing, until his self-titled single went viral all over the internet.
Dani said, “Music has always been an integral part of me growing up, and I never paid much attention to critics, because for whatever I produced, I did it wholeheartedly. And for every song that I wrote, it all came from my own personal experiences, so most people could relate to that.
“The song Jika Aku Pergi tells the story of a pair of lovers who are in love but took a sad turn, whereby the female lover went astray and chose a more wealthy and successful guy, which is normal. However, he still thinks fondly of his ex and misses her from afar, wishing her well while moving on.
The 4:18-minute single starts with a slow but energetic tempo and then shifts to a modern ‘trap’ beat that adorns the entire song, adding ‘flavour’ to the pop ballad number.
“We’ve actually produced a single together prior, but didn’t receive as much attention. With the platform provided by Rocketfuel Indie Space Station, we are confident that it’ll boost our music and names even more.
“The recording process went smoothly without any problems as we’ve worked together in the past. Dani is such a talented musician, with plenty of creative ideas, and his dedication is simply exemplary,” Chazy explained.
In addition to acting and singing, Chazy also poured his creative ideas by directing the music video (MV) of Jika Aku Pergi because of his previous experiences in producing videos.
